Why Are You Getting Married In Haliburton?
As most of you know, Richard and I love the outdoors - Richard does maybe a bit more then I do, but I still appreciate it.  Richard worked in the Haliburton area for Scouts Canada at the Haliburton Scout Reserve for several summers.  I hadn't visited the Haliburton area until Richard took me there when we were dating and I fell in love with it.  Unlike most forest areas in the region, the Haliburton Forest is untouched.  This camp alone has over 5,000 acres.  When he first took me to the camp, he mentioned that there is an island that has a Cross on it, and it's called Chapel Island and most of the Sunday services are held on this island.  I said, wouldn't that be awesome to be married on the Island.  So, 2 years later, that still rang in our heads.  Getting married on the Scout Camp was a bit harder to plan, so we found the Wigamog Inn Resort in the area and it was much more convenient and more comfortable for our guests.  The Haliburton Forest represents so much - beauty, tranquillity and it definately proves Mother Natures finer work.  We couldn't think of a better place.
What is the weather like in Haliburton?
Unfortunately, the weather in Haliburton is very unpredictable.  It might be sunny one minute, and next thing you know, you've got a thunderstorm on your hands.  For todays weather report in Haliburton, click here.
